The cleaning of plastic-coated composite pipes should be performed using solvents and emulsions to clean the steel surface, removing oil stains, grease, dust, lubricants, and similar organic substances. However, these cleaning agents cannot remove rust, oxide scale, welding flux, or other similar contaminants from the steel surface; therefore, they serve only as auxiliary agents in corrosion prevention processes.

Chemical cleaning can achieve a certain level of cleanliness and surface roughness, but its anchor profile is relatively shallow, making it prone to contamination.
Blast (or Shot) Rust Removal: Blast (or shot) rust removal refers to a process in which a high-power motor drives blast (or shot) blades to rotate at high speed, causing abrasive materials such as steel grit, steel shots, wire segments, and minerals to be blasted (or shot) onto the outer surface of internally and externally coated pipes under the action of centrifugal force. This blast (or shot) rust removal not only thoroughly removes rust, oxides, and dirt but also achieves the required average surface roughness for both inner and outer coated pipes through the intense impact and friction exerted by the abrasive materials.
