Both coated anti-corrosion steel pipes and lined anti-corrosion steel pipes are types of anti-corrosion steel pipes, each possessing the characteristic features of anti-corrosion steel pipes.   Plastic-coated steel pipes are steel-plastic composite products in which the base material is a steel pipe and the coating material is plastic powder, with a layer of plastic or other anti-corrosion coating on both the inner and outer surfaces. Although lined plastic-coated steel pipes also use a steel pipe as their base, their exterior is galvanized and then coated with paint or varnish, while their interior is lined with polyethylene plastic or other steel-plastic composites equipped with anti-corrosion coatings.

  Plastic-coated steel pipes can be classified into polyethylene-coated steel pipes and epoxy-coated steel pipes, depending on the coating material. Lined plastic pipes are divided into cold-water lined plastic pipes, hot-water lined plastic pipes, and rotary-lined plastic pipes.

  From the perspective of manufacturing processes, coated anti-corrosion steel pipes are steel-plastic composite products formed by first processing and then heating, followed by high-speed coating and subsequent curing. In contrast, lined anti-corrosion steel pipes are first treated and then heated; however, during the rotation of the steel pipe, polyethylene powder is uniformly rolled onto the inner wall, after which the product is cured to form a steel-plastic composite.

  From the perspective of construction and installation, plastic-coated corrosion-resistant steel pipes can be cut to any desired length according to the needs of the construction site. After cutting, they can be repaired and continue to be used. They can also be prefabricated in advance at the construction site without shrinking due to the coating process. However, lined corrosion-resistant steel pipes cannot be cut on-site or prefabricated ahead of time. Compared with plastic-coated steel pipes, lined steel pipes tend to shrink during construction, significantly increasing the design pressure of the piping system. Nevertheless, lined steel pipes do have advantages: since the lining is relatively thick, they are comparatively more wear-resistant.
