Polyethylene cold-wrap tape is suitable for corrosion protection and repair of straight pipes, elbows, storage tanks, conduits, and other components in pipelines used for petroleum, natural gas, chemical industry, and water supply and drainage systems. Polyethylene cold-wrap tape is made from a polyethylene-based film.

Polyethylene cold-wrap tape is suitable for corrosion protection and repair of straight pipe sections, elbows, storage tank bodies, conduits, and other components in pipelines used for petroleum, natural gas, chemical industry, and water supply and drainage systems. Polyethylene cold-wrap tape is a strip-shaped anti-corrosion material produced by co-extruding a polyethylene-based film with a hot-composite adhesive layer whose main component is butyl rubber.
Chinese name: Polyethylene Cold Wrap Tape
Adhesive layer thickness: (0.10 mm - 0.30 mm)
Basement membrane thickness: (0.20 mm - 0.80 mm)
Product widths: 50, 75, 100, 150, 200
Product advantages
The polyethylene cold-wrap tape has a uniformly thick adhesive layer and wide adaptability.
Polyethylene cold-wrap tape boasts excellent adhesion and elasticity, enabling the anti-corrosion coating to accommodate thermal expansion and contraction of pipelines.
Polyethylene cold-wrap tape has excellent heat aging resistance and strong UV resistance.
Polyethylene cold-wrap tape has high tensile strength and an appropriate elongation at break, making it easy to apply both mechanically and manually.

Product Specifications
Polyethylene cold-wrap tape product width – base film thickness / adhesive layer thickness
Product width (50, 75, 100, 150, 200, 250, 300 mm)
Basement membrane thickness (0.20 mm - 0.80 mm)
Adhesive layer thickness (0.10 mm - 0.30 mm)
Product Usage
Steel pipe surface treatment: Remove rust, weld slag, burrs, and oil contaminants; manual rust removal reaches St3 grade, and sandblasting rust removal reaches Sa2 grade.
Apply primer: Mix components A and B thoroughly, then apply evenly using a brush or roller.
Overlap wrapping: Once the primer surface has dried (typically 5–10 minutes), you can proceed with overlap wrapping.
Transportation and storage
Polyethylene cold-wrap tape should be stored in a cool environment between 5℃ and 30℃, away from heat sources and open flames.
Polyethylene cold-wrap tape should be protected from exposure to sunlight, rain, and compression or deformation during transportation.
When polyethylene cold-wrap tape is exposed to prolonged freezing below 5℃, it must be stored at around 20℃ for 48 hours before it can be used.
