3PE anti-corrosion steel pipes are designed for pipelines used in various working environments. To slow down or prevent corrosion and degradation of pipelines caused by chemical and electrochemical reactions from external media or the metabolic activities of microorganisms, two or three layers of polyethylene are applied to the outer surface of the pipeline, thereby extending the service life of 3PE anti-corrosion pipes by a factor of 3 to 5. The coating consists of: an inner layer of fused epoxy; an intermediate layer of adhesive; and an outer layer of extruded polyethylene. The total thickness of the protective layer is approximately 1.8 to 3.7 millimeters.
