Coated composite pipes are a new type of pipeline material that has recently been developed in China. These coated composite pipes feature protective coating layers both on the inside and outside. The core structure of the coated composite pipe is a composite design consisting of either reinforced welded steel pipe or seamless pressure-resistant steel pipe. Not only do coated composite pipes offer the advantages of high strength, easy connection, and resistance to water flow impacts typical of steel pipes, but they also boast a designed service life of up to 50 years, making them a product that users can rely on with confidence.
Plastic-coated composite pipe It is a new type of pipeline material that has recently been developed in China. The coated composite pipe features a protective coating both on the inside and outside. Its core structure is a composite design consisting of reinforced welded steel pipe or seamless pressure-resistant steel pipe. This coated composite pipe not only boasts the advantages of steel pipes—such as high strength, easy connection, and resistance to water flow impact—but also has a designed service life of up to 50 years, making it a product that users can rely on with confidence.
According to various materials, coated composite steel pipes are suitable for operating environments ranging from -30℃ to 120℃. They feature high coating adhesion, high hardness, excellent impact resistance, and outstanding chemical corrosion resistance. After plastic coating, the inner surface of the steel pipe becomes smooth, reducing flow resistance and increasing flow rate. Moreover, these pipes do not scale up, are resistant to microbial growth, and can fully ensure consistent flow rates and optimal performance while being energy-efficient and environmentally friendly.
Epoxy resin powder coatings exhibit excellent toughness, while steel pipes boast high mechanical strength, enabling them to withstand external impacts and bending forces with remarkable resilience. Their performance surpasses that of other pipe materials. Regarding the proper handling of coated composite pipes: After rust removal and oil brushing, metal components such as fittings, pipes, structural steel, and support brackets must be stored in a dedicated area equipped with rain and lightning protection measures and ensuring smooth transportation. The surrounding area should remain free of clutter. Key testing items—including coating inspection, hygiene and safety performance, bending tests, and flattening tests—constitute the most authoritative testing standards for assessing the quality of coated composite pipes and serve as the definitive reference for determining whether a product meets the required specifications.
Plastic-coated composite pipe Not suitable for conveying certain chemicals, such as esters, carbon dioxide, aromatic hydrocarbons, diluents, carbon tetrachloride, ketones, and ethers, to avoid softening and corrosion of the inner plastic lining or coating. During transportation, loading and unloading, and installation, composite pipes must not be subjected to violent impacts or thrown around.
