Large-diameter anti-corrosion steel pipes have their coating thickness controlled by adjusting the spray rate and the rotation speed of the steel pipe, ensuring that the coating meets the design specifications. Subsequently, based on the curing time requirements provided by the epoxy powder manufacturer, the distance between spraying and cooling is carefully managed to guarantee sufficient curing time, allowing the epoxy powder coating to fully cure. After curing, the pipes are directly cooled with water. Once cooled, the large-diameter anti-corrosion steel pipes are transferred to the downstream pipeline platform. After passing the final inspection, they are labeled and moved to the finished-product area.

Large-diameter anti-corrosion steel pipes are steel-plastic composite pipes formed by melting a layer of organic material—such as polyethylene (PE) resin, ethylene-acrylic acid copolymer (EAA), epoxy (EP) powder, non-toxic polypropylene (PP), or non-toxic polyvinyl chloride (PVC)—with a thickness of 0.5 to 1.0 mm onto the inner wall of a steel pipe. These pipes not only retain the high strength, easy connection, and resistance to water flow impact characteristic of steel pipes but also overcome the drawbacks of steel pipes, such as susceptibility to corrosion, contamination, and scaling when exposed to water, as well as the low strength and poor fire performance of plastic pipes. Their designed service life can reach up to 50 years. The main limitation is that these pipes must not be bent during installation; when performing hot working or electric welding/cutting operations, the cut surfaces must be coated with a non-toxic, room-temperature curing adhesive provided by the manufacturer to repair any damaged areas. 1. They are suitable for both underground and humid environments and can withstand both high and extremely low temperatures. 2. They have strong anti-interference capabilities; when used as cable conduits, these coated steel pipes can effectively shield against external signal interference. 3. They exhibit excellent pressure resistance.

Plastic-coated steel pipe is a newly developed type of pipeline material in China. It features a composite structure with plastic coatings on both the inner and outer surfaces, and a reinforced welded steel pipe or seamless pressure-resistant steel pipe as the middle layer. This design overcomes the inherent drawbacks of steel pipes—such as susceptibility to rusting, corrosion, high pollution levels—as well as the weaknesses of plastic pipes, including low strength and easy deformation. Applications: The product is widely used in oil pipelines, natural gas pipelines, heating pipelines, and water supply pipelines. Application Scope: Currently, China has not yet established an industry standard for 3PP coatings. Therefore, the 3PP anti-corrosion pipelines produced generally follow the German standard DIN30678 “Polypropylene Coatings for Steel Pipelines.” The 3PP coating is primarily used as an anti-corrosion layer for pipelines transporting media at relatively high temperatures, as well as for pipelines located in desert regions characterized by high surface temperatures and prolonged sunlight exposure.
