Fused epoxy powder outer coating (FBE/2FBE) is a new type of anti-corrosion coating developed in the past 30 years. FBE coating has two types: single layer and double layer. The so-called FBE coating generally refers to a single-layer fusion bonded epoxy coating. The single-layer FBE coating uses special fusion bonded epoxy powder coating as the film-forming material. The epoxy powder coating is applied by electrostatic spraying process to form a film at one time. This epoxy powder coating is a thermosetting coating, which is processed by mixing and pulverizing solid epoxy resin, curing agent and various additives. The elbow is shot blasting and intermediate frequency preheating before spraying, and then the epoxy powder coating is sprayed on the surface of the heated elbow by electrostatic spraying method, and it is melt-bonded on the surface of the elbow and solidified to form a coating. FBE coating is generally a one-time film formation structure. FBE coating has strong adhesion to steel, good film integrity, resistance to cathodic stripping, soil stress and abrasion resistance, simple coating operation, no pollution, good impact and bending resistance of the coating, high temperature resistance, etc. The advantages have been widely used abroad. FBE coating can be used for the external anti-corrosion of steel buried pipelines or underwater pipeline facilities whose working temperature is -30~100 degrees Celsius.

The coating prepared by using epoxy resin as the film-forming substance and adding a certain amount of pigments, fillers, additives, solvents, etc. is called epoxy resin anti-corrosion coating. Since the epoxy resin molecular structure contains highly polar hydroxyl and ether bonds, the coating film has good chemical resistance, good alkali resistance, and better heat-resistant alkaline medium. Because its structure contains rigidity and alternate arrangement of benzene rings and head-shaped hydrocarbon chains, the physical and mechanical properties of the coating film are also quite good. Due to the presence of polar groups, the coating film will have a certain degree of hydrophilicity. If the formula is selected properly, a coating film with good water resistance can also be obtained. There are many types of epoxy resin anticorrosive coatings, and the most widely used are amine or its derivatives cured epoxy coatings and asphalt epoxy anticorrosive coatings. In recent years, solvent-free epoxy resin anti-corrosion coatings have been applied, and water-emulsion epoxy resin anti-corrosion coatings are very promising.

After curing, it has excellent mechanical properties, chemical resistance, excellent electrical properties and excellent heat resistance.
